Yesterday my man and I, went to the Book Fair, and for the occasion I wanted to put together an outfit that would feel equally comfortable both outdoors and indoors. Whenever I set such conditions for myself, I instantly know what to choose — natural fabrics.
This time, I went for a light wool shirt in a neutral shade as the base. I paired it with wide-leg wool trousers and a short black jacket that also contains wool in its composition.

The Benefits of Wool in Winter
If you’re wondering why I insist so much on wool when I want to feel warm and cozy — but never overheated — here are a few reasons why:
- It regulates the body’s microclimate
Wool naturally acts as a thermoregulator – it warms you when it’s cold and cools you when it’s warm. That’s why it’s perfect for winter walks and also for time spent indoors. - It insulates but also “breathes”
Wool fibers have tiny air pockets that trap warmth close to the body. Unlike synthetic materials, wool releases excess heat and moisture, so you don’t overheat when you go inside. - It absorbs moisture without feeling damp
Wool can absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture and still feel dry to the touch. That means no unpleasant sweating or sudden chills. - It’s naturally antibacterial and odor-resistant
Thanks to lanolin — a natural wax found in the fibers — wool stays fresh even after multiple wears without washing.
Black and White as a Timeless Classic
When it comes to colors, black and white will forever be my favorite combo. It creates a visual balance that always feels clean and sophisticated.
Whether you wear black trousers with a white shirt and a black blazer — or switch the order — the result is always the same: minimal effort but maximum effect.
Black and white never go out of style. In photos, this contrast gives that editorial effect, even when the outfit is completely simple.
To me, it’s anything but boring — it’s a timeless classic that carries attitude and quietly radiates luxury.
That’s why I see this kind of outfit as a foolproof mix of casual and elegant. In these tones, I always feel the most comfortable — and the most myself.
