This blog post is dedicated to a Basic Facial Skincare Routine. This routine is simple, effective, and can be followed all year round.
Just like in fashion, in skincare I also follow the motto: “less is more.” Over the years, I have tested countless products trying to get rid of stubborn pimples, blackheads, and uneven skin, and gradually I created a combination of products that works best for my skin and gives the best results.
In this post, I will describe my routine in detail. I carefully designed it to restore balance to my skin while maintaining its elasticity and plumpness.
I didn’t achieve this routine overnight — it took ten years of research, five years of studying pharmaceutical technology, and countless product trials.
Keep in mind that what works for me may not necessarily work for you. This post is meant as a guide and inspiration, and the results will depend on your skin type.
Who is this routine for?
This routine is for anyone who wants their skin to look fresh, cared-for, and elegant — with a subtle “clean” effect and natural glow.
At its core is deep hydration, the foundation of every healthy skin.
On top of this base, active ingredients can be added depending on your skin’s needs, for example:
- Salicylic acid for oily skin prone to blackheads,
- Vitamin C for brightening hyperpigmentation, etc.
Morning Routine
I start my day with a glass of warm water — plain or lightly flavored with lemon. Hydration from the inside is important for both overall health and beautiful skin. Next comes washing my face.
I use Bioderma Sensibio Gel, a gentle cleanser for sensitive skin, together with a FOREO facial massager.

Just one pump of gel on the slightly wet device is enough, then I gently massage my face for about a minute. After rinsing, my skin feels noticeably softer and smoother compared to washing without the device. After cleansing, I gently pat my face with a towel to remove excess water, and while it is still slightly damp, I apply La Roche-Posay Hyalu B5 serum.

One pea-sized drop is enough for my whole face and décolleté. I let it absorb for a few seconds, then move on to my day cream with SPF.
For a long time, I’ve been using Juliette Armand Sunfilm Fluid SPF30, it is slightly tinted .

I apply a small amount to my face and décolleté with my fingers — enough for full sun protection. I blend it gently, leaving a velvety finish and a natural “no-makeup” look. Bonus: it smells amazing! Since I don’t like heavy makeup, on a daily basis I only use mascara, blush, and eyebrow powder, and, of course, a lip balm with SPF.
If you spend time outdoors, don’t forget to reapply SPF during the day.
The products I use most often are LRP SPF Spray and Eucerin Lip Balm.

Evening Routine
After a long day, I remove dust, oil, and impurities from my skin.
Again, I use Bioderma Sensibio Gel together with the FOREO Luna Play Plus 2 — this duo is my favorite for cleansing. After washing, I gently pat my face and apply La Roche-Posay Hyalu B5 Serum, which provides deep hydration and skin regeneration. Once the serum absorbs, I apply Uriage Night Mask (Water Sleeping Mask), which hydrates and soothes the skin overnight. This routine works well for my combination skin — oily T-zone and dry cheeks.

Additional Care
For extra care, 2–3 times a week I use the Uriage Hyséac Mask (for oily/combination skin, containing clay and malic acid).

The mask can be used in two ways:
- As a mask: apply a thin layer and leave for 2–3 minutes, then rinse,
- As a scrub: gently massage a small amount for 20 seconds, then rinse with lukewarm water.
This mask helps cleanse pores and control oiliness in the T-zone.
I hope this post has helped you create your own basic skincare routine — or at least given you an idea of where to start.
