MY CURRENT UNIFORM

A month ago, I officially started my career in the pharmaceutical industry.
Like every new beginning, it came with excitement, expectations, and—of course—outfit planning.

Before my first working day, I was in full preparation mode: buying new clothes, refreshing my makeup collection, carefully building a capsule wardrobe to avoid that familiar early-morning dressing fatigue.
I was ready to step into a new chapter—stylishly. And then… I met my colleague Nina.

One of her very first sentences caught me completely off guard:
“You should wipe off all your makeup—just so you know, makeup is forbidden.”
Jewelry? Forbidden.
Personal clothes? Irrelevant.
At work, there is a uniform, safety shoes, and very clear rules. Fashion, as I knew it in a professional context, simply did not exist.

Yes—forbidden.

I was genuinely shocked.

Coming from a world where style is often part of professional identity, this level of restriction felt almost unreal. But once the initial surprise settled, I understood the logic. In the pharmaceutical industry, safety, sterility, and precision come first—always.

And that’s where weekends come in.

DRESSING UP AS MY FORM OF FREEDOM

When your weekdays are stripped of personal style, weekends become a small luxury.
For me, that luxury is dressing up. My go-to combination for relaxed days is almost always the same: a long-sleeved white T-shirt paired with statement jeans. It’s minimal, clean, and endlessly versatile.

I’ll say it honestly: the long-sleeved T-shirts from H&M are surprisingly good.
The fabric holds up well, the fit is reliable, and I own them in almost every color. They are the kind of basics that truly earn their place in a capsule wardrobe.

STATEMENT JEANS AS A REFLECTION OF PERSONALITY

The real star of this casual formula?
Sequined statement jeans.

They’ve become one of my most complimented pieces—and for good reason. They are comfortable and instantly elevate even the simplest top. Sequined details are everywhere this season, and I see them as a playful way to add personality.

You can dress them down with flats and knitwear or elevate them with structured outerwear and a sleek bag.

MY BELOVED WINTER ESSENTIAL

Cold winter days call for footwear that doesn’t just look good—but performs.

I’ve been wearing grey wool boots almost daily, for hours at a time, and they’ve exceeded my expectations. They’re warm, soft on the inside, and—most importantly—the inner wool hasn’t matted with wear. That detail matters more than people think. I recommend them wholeheartedly. They’re one of those winter finds you reach for instinctively.

THE BAG THAT PULLS EVERYTHING TOGETHER

No outfit feels complete without the right bag. A black leather bag is, in my opinion, non-negotiable. It has the power to elevate even the simplest outfit and seamlessly adapt to different settings. If you’re buying your first quality bag, this is where strategic thinking matters most.

Choose a piece that covers multiple needs, works across seasons, and aligns with your lifestyle. I strongly believe in the philosophy of investing in bags—buying fewer, better pieces that last and retain value. You can read more about this approach in my dedicated article linked here.

During those busy days, I even put together a short guide on how to create your own capsule wardrobe—on your own, quickly and with ease. You can download it here. And if you’d rather have a ready-made capsule and simply let go of the process, all it takes is a short questionnaire and I’ll take care of the rest. To receive a questionnaire click here.

When fashion is off-limits five days a week, you learn to appreciate it deeply and reserve it for the weekends. Casual dressing becomes more intentional, and every chosen piece has a purpose. Do you like these pieces? Let me know in the comments!
